about

Art has always been an important part of my life. My mother, an accomplished artist, was my first teacher and is still a major influence and mentor. I was educated in the San Fransisco Bay area. I attended Ohlone College, San Jose State University and The Academy of Art in San Fransisco. My studies included Art, Art History and Restoration. As an artist, I work in water color, pencil, pastels and printmaking. As a conservator, I restore paintings, sculpture, objects, and frames. I developed my curatorial skills while working for the California Museum of Art and a few galleries in Sonoma County. I moved to Idaho in 1979. I taught several art classes and eventually went to work in Ketchum, Idaho, for a prominent gallery. I worked there 14 years as a fine art framer specializing in preservation methods. I was frame shop manager and master framer. During this time, I dreamed of owning my own business and in 2004 I realized that dream. Art is my passion, whether it be creating, preserving or restoring. It is a wonderful feeling to wake up each morning and look forward to the day's work.

I can't imagine life without art.
